Zoo York vs ESPN

In an interview with ESPN – Zered Basset hinted at some major changes at Zoo York relating to the future of the skate team. Zoo York sent out this statement disproving these accusations.

In the wake of recent negative press concerning changes to our skate program, we wanted to communicate to our partners that ZOO YORK remains committed to our skate team and involvement in the skateboard community.

We will continue to have a fully activated skateboard program, which is at the core of the ZOO YORK brand.

The story that broke on ESPN skate was in the aftermath of the difficult decision to terminate our long-‐term partnership with Zered Bassett and Eli Reed. Our decision to part ways with Zered and Eli was in no way connected to our commitment to the skate team as a whole. We continue to wish Zered and Eli all the best as they will always be an integral part of the ZOO family.

So it seems the Zoo York skate program will live!
